MilFit is an training and nutrition company founded by former and active soldiers and policemen. It enables soldiers, police officers and rescue forces to achieve maximum fitness.
Many training apps and programs are not tailored to support active rescue, police, and military forces in the daily functional training necessary to succeed in their jobs. Access to personal coaches is scarce and expensive. MilFit set out to tackle this market gap and asked hatch for support in bringing an alternative app-based solution to the market.
In particular, MilFit hired us to create an elite force training app as well as a web-based back-office solution to easily manage the app content – without having to touch the code, so that the team could focus on what they know best: creating elite training programs.
As a first step in the project, hatch sat down together with the MilFit team to define the exact requirements and functionalities of the envisioned solutions and jointly prioritized the deliverables and roadmap.
We then started the project by planning the system infrastructure that would enable the development of a high-performing app and integrated content management system, providing the required freedom and adaptability required for the various content formats. Once established, we staffed an expert team, devised a clear sprint plan, and started with the agile development in record time, minimizing the timeline by parallelizing the design and development process.
Along the process, we worked closely together with the MilFit team for continuous testing and to enable the parallel development of the training content for maximum go-to-market speed.
Within 11 months, we created a high-quality and appealing elite training app, seamlessly integrated a content management system, and launched the service.
